Community Cafe
Last Saturday of the month
10.30 to 12.30 in
Thornhill Community Hall.
Entry by donation, kids free.
Next cafe date: 29th November
Thornhill’s Common Grounds community cafe was launched in the Spring of 2025.
The cafe is run by volunteers and operates in Thornhill’s Community Hall from 10.30 to 12.30 on the last Saturday of the month.
We usually have cakes for dietary options such as gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free.
There’s a children’s play corner with toys on hand but kids must bring along an adult to supervise them. We regret the cafe volunteers are unable to supervise children. For adults there are lots of friendly faces to greet you and plenty of chat, cakes and coffee/tea.
Payment is by donation of a suggested £3 for adults (no charge for children’s entry). Any profits made by the cafe will go back into running the cafe and any surplus to village projects.
The cafe has a Steering Group to do all the background admin, leaving the amazing local bakers to pitch in with a bake or help serve as and when they are able.
With free parking right outside (disabled spaces available), a covered, secure bike rack, e-bike charging and even EV charging across the road, Common Grounds looks forward to welcoming villagers and folk visiting from further afield.
