Thornhill Community Trust (TCT)

Welcome to the page for the Thornhill Community Trust (TCT).

The TCT is a charitable organisation established in 2004 to “preserve, restore and improve the environment in Thornhill, to provide facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation, to advance education, to promote and/or provide training in skills of all kinds, and to promote, establish and operate other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community”.

The TCT provides a framework under which volunteers can start up projects, apply for public funding, carry out the projects, publicise the results and meet up with other volunteers. Once a project is up and running, it can remain under the TCT umbrella or become independent.

TCT is now looking after the Thornhill Environment Fund which is available for “educational provision relating to ecology and the environment”.  Currently we have three active subgroups for this.

  • Thornhill Environment Activities
  • Paths Development
  • Plants Fund
