Community Council

Thornhill and Blairdrummond Community Council is constituted under the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 with the purpose “to ascertain, co-ordinate and express to the Local Authorities for its area and to public authorities the views of the community which it represents, in relation to matters for which those authorities are responsible.”  In practice this involves dealing with Stirling Council, Forth Valley NHS Trust, Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service, Central Scotland Police, etc. We meet every 6 weeks and on occasions when special subjects arise.

Current community councillors and office bearers may be found in the local telephone directory on sale at Thornhill Village Store and on the Stirling Council website.

The minutes of recent meetings are available on the village website
