Information from Councillor Martin Earl.

The Discretionary Business Support Fund is reopening from 9am Wednesday 7 April until 5pm Tuesday 13 April.

This funding will provide direct financial support to businesses in the Stirling Council area, specifically to mitigate immediate financial challenges arising from the COVID-19 restrictions and regulations announced in October 2020.  It is a one off payment of £4,000 and is aimed at small and micro-businesses (50 employees or fewer). Eligibility criteria and information regarding the fund can be found at :-

  • This second application opportunity is there for businesses that did not apply during the first round (18 January to 3 February)
  • This fund is designed to support small/micro businesses that have not received support from a variety of other means – There are details on the link above regarding who is/is not eligible to apply and what information will be needed.

I assume there will be a link provided on website page prior to fund opening for applications. Please let me know if there are any problems applying (earlm@stirling.gov.uk). I very much doubt there will be a further opportunity to apply to this fund so please do check and apply if you believe you are eligible.
